The Annual Spring Spin Event
The ultimate community bike riding celebration – The Spring Spin! This is an event Owens Healthcare sponsors each May held at the Sundial Bridge in Redding, CA. This fantastic event features live music, food, beer, prizes, custom bike valet parking, and everything you can imagine for cyclists of every level! Citizens throughout the entire community are welcome to this event which encourages the whole community to get out and ride!
Owens Cycling Team
In 2003, John Friesen, President and CEO of Owens Healthcare wanted to create an opportunity for talented riders in the area to get more exposure. The team’s main objective is to promote a healthy living. Anyone can cycle from their younger years to their golden years. Visit our cycling team’s website.
Food Drive
Each year our locations participate in a company wide food drive to gather items in which we donate to local food banks. These drives gain hundreds of pounds of food while also spurring friendly competition between our locations, which ultimately does a lot of good for those in need!
Donations Committee (local giving)
As a local company, Owens is committed to making an impact in the North State and we are always looking for ways to help out local clubs, projects, or events in ways that help promote the success of the communities these events take place in. Some of these donations include: Music clubs, baseball teams, town festivals, Women’s Refuge Centers, and much much more. Each year these donations total thousands of dollars! Just our way to give back to the community we live and play.
